How To Make Sure You Get A Return On Your Art Investment
Anyone who wants to take some of the guess workout of investing in art could do worse than to visit Sole Arte, a gallery located midway between Waterford and Tramore. While many works of art have been appreciating hugely over the past decade or so, there are still no guarantees in the often fickle art market - until now.
Sole Arte, through Its founders Claire and Pat Keegan, is offering what it describes as a unique art bond, where it will offer to buy back some selected works on sale at the gallery for a predetermined profit (up to 20%) after a set number of years.
While other galleries do offer buy back schemes, Pat Keegan believes that his is the only one which offers such a guaranteed mark-up.
This bond has come into being because of the Keegan’s intimate knowledge of the Irish and European art scene, and It is the gallery founders’ confidence in many of its pieces that is allowing them to make this unprecedented offer. Basically, this offers a guaranteed appreciation of up to 20% on selected investments. Of course, the same might be possible through the auction process, but then you will have fees at both ends, thereby minimising any appreciation.
With Sole Arte, customers can choose from such legends of Irish art as Pauline Bewick and Kenneth Webb - safe in the knowledge that their investment will be a sure profit maker.
